Document Description
The proposed Waldron Pond Conjunctive Use Facility consists of groundwater recharge on approximately 270 acres within proposed recharge basins in the Fresno Irrigation District (FID or District), and the subsequent extraction of such stored water. Extraction and delivery of the stored water will allow for surface water supplies to be stored in upstream reservoirs, to be made available for overdrafted areas of the District, delivery to entities that purchase water by agreement 11,500 acre-feet per year for recharge, and extract an average of 10,200 acre-feet per year with the balance of the diverted/recharged water to provide local recharge benefits.
