Document Description
A 1,000 foot depth test hole approximately 6'' in diameter will be drilled, geologically logged, a geophysically surveyed. Direct mud-rotary drilling methods will be used to drill test hole. A monitoring well with up to 4 separate completions will be installed after completion of test hole reaming. Wells maybe installed to a maximum depth of 600 feet bgs. The wells will be used to monitor groundwater levels in multiple aquifer zones for comparison to Yuba River and water levels.

Reasons for Exemption
The project involves basic data collection and will not result in major disturbances to an environmental resource. Groundwater sampling and water level monitoring will be conducted on a monthly basis for approximately 2 years. After about 2 years, monitoring maybe scaled back to 2 times a year. There may be some minor alterations in the condition of the land, but there will be no effect on sensitive resources.
