Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0084-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the City of Placerville. Project is limited to activities associated with Phase 2 of the larger Western Placerville Interchange Project Phase 2 includes the following improvements: Constructing a new eastbound off-ramp from US Hwy on to Ray Lawyer Dr. Widening and realigning Ray Lawyer Dr. to the west to improve the connections with Forni Dr. and the new off ramp. Widening and realigning Forni Road to the south to improve site lines and the connection with Ray Lawyer Dr. Constructing a new park-n-ride parking lot between the new off-ramp, Ray Lawyer Dr., and Forni Road Dr. The purpose of the project is to improve traffic operations and to accommodate projected 20-year increases in traffic volumes at the Forni Road/Placerville Dr./US 50 Interchange and to provide new on- and off-ramps to US 50 at the Ray Lawyer Dr. Overcrossing. The Project is needed to respond to current and projected regional and local traffic demand on the state and local roadway geometrics and lack of alternative routes cause congestion and reduce traffic safety for vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian travel. Construction of the new interchange is expected to fill approx.. 0.53 acre of wetlands and remove two (2) interior like oak trees (Quercus wizlizenii).
