Document Description
Under the proposed project, wastewater received at the WWTP would be treated to a tertiary level and discharged to the tributary to Smuthers Ravine that lies adjacent to the WWTP site. The spray disposal system would no longer be used. This alternative consists of upgrading the existing aerated facultative ponds to provide secondary treatment; using the existing storage pond with a liner to attenuate peak secondary effluent flows (equalization basin); and using dissolved air flotation, filtration, and disinfection to provide the tertiary treatment.
