Document Description
The Bear Valley Community Services District (BVCSD) proposes to acquire by purchase or eminent domain two areas of agricultural land use then lease the land for continued agricultural uses. Deep well extraction of groundwater for agricultural irrigation, one of the current practices on these lands, would cease or be restricted and instead the lands would be irrigated with SWP water supplies through existing facilities. One of the existing wells may continue to be used to supply domestic water for residential uses within the BVCSD. The lands proposed for acquisition are proposed to remain in the current "exclusive agriculture" zoning, but may be annexed to the BVCSD in the foreseeable future. Total 336+/- acres.
