Document Description
The County of Monterey adopted the current Housing Element in 1992; and update was planned for 1996. The primary goals of the update Housing Element are: support new housing opportunities; increase housing supply; incorporate additional housing units within unincorporated Community areas and the Affordable Housing Overlay area; and within new residential development, plan for units that encourage a range of housing types, prices and size that will meet the varied needs of Monterey County households.
