Document Description
The Project includes removing water control structures, culverts and bulkheads; removing debris; constructing a beach seine monitoring ramp; breaching levees in strategic locations; grading down sections of levees; filling ditches near breach locations; stockpiling excess levee material; and transplanting, maintenance and monitoring of Mason’s lilaeopsis (Lilaeopsis masonii). The Project will retore tidal hydrology to approximately 607 acres on Bradmoor Island and approximately 137 acres at Arnold Slough. The Project will result in permanent impacts to approximately 5.42 square feet of Mason’s lilaeopsis. The project is expected to result in incidental take of Mason’s lilaeopsis, which is designated as a rare species under the NPPA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under NPPA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
