- The project proposes to widen Route 238 from four lanes to six lanes between the Route 238/580 Interchange and the Route 238/880 Interchange in and near San Leandro, Alameda County. The purpose of the project is to improve operations and enhance safety. Other proposed improvements include restriping to include an auxiliary lane on southbound I-880 between the A Street Undercrossing and the Route 238/880 Interchange.
