Caltrans proposed to widen Route 238 from four lanes to six lanes between the Route 580/238 Interchange and the Route 238/880 Interchange in and near San Leandro, Alameda County. Other proposed improvements include restriping to include an auxiliary lane on southbound I-880 between the A Street Undercrossing and the Route 238/880 Interchange.
