The current land use for the project is open space and grazing. The site is zoned Exclusive Agriculture (ARE-40).
Madera Ranch, Inc. is proposing a new hard rock quarry and associated processing facilities in central Madera County. The project would be located on approximately 131 acres of the 540-acre Madera Ranch, a privately owned parcel currently used for rangeland cattle grazing.
