The project proposes to extend the existing number one lane (inside lane) on northbound I-5 in San Joaquin County by 2.7 kilometers (1.7 miles). The project would widen the existing San Joaquin River Bridge and the Route 5/120 Separation & Overhead Bridge. No new right-of-way would be needed.
