Document Description
The Leaky Pipe Replacement Project will replace substandard sections of water transmission pipeline within the District's service area. In the year 2003, four substandard pipeline sections were deemed high priority due to low pressure and severe leakage problems. One of these sections was 5,400 lineal feet of pipeline on Sunnymead Boulevard between Graham Street and Indian Street within the City of Moreno Valley, Riverside County. Since the approval of the original project, a minor project modification has occurred that needs to be addressed within the context of CEQA and the State CEQA Guidelines. The City of Moreno Valley is improving Sunnymead Boulevard between Frederick Street and Perris Boulevard. Additional pipeline will also need to be replaced to avoid the proposed City of Moreno Valley street curb, landscaping, and sidewalk improvements. The proposed Sunnymead Boulevard pipeline alignment will be modified as follows: the pipeline will extend approximately another 5,400 lineal feet in the street section and within the public right-of-way east from Indian Street to Perris Boulevard and west from Graham Street to Frederick Street. Additionally, approximately 500 lineal feet of cross connection pipeline will also be installed in Heacock Street at Sunnymead Boulevard. This alignment will be modified at the request of the City of Moreno Valley.
