Document Description
The Housing Element Update satisfies state law requirements that the City of Aliso Viejo ("City") identify adequate sites with appropriate zoning to accommodate the City's share of the projected regional housing need. In accordance with state law, the Southern California Association of Governments ("SCAG") found the City's share of the region's housing need for the 2014-2021 planning period to be 39 units, 16 of which for lower income households. In addition, state law requires that the City carry over any un-accommodated need from the prior planning period into the current planning period. There was an un-accommodated need of 274 units for lower income households from the 2008-2013 planning period.
