Document Description
The project will install three signboards that promote water safety and provide the free use of personal flotation devices for kids. The "Kids Don't Float" signs are 4'x8' sign boards mounted on two 4"x4" posts. Installing the signs will involve excavating 2-3 foot holes for each of the six posts. The signs will be installed at the Negro Bar day use area, the Folsom Point picnic area and the Nimbus Flat day use area. The signs will be located in areas that have been previously disturbed. The signs are being provided and maintained by the Sacramento County Emergency Medical System. Sacramento County EMS has successfully installed these signs in the American River Parkway and other locations.
