Document Description
A permitted dam stores water near the headwaters of the creek forming a reservoir covering 30 surface acres and storing up to 750 acre feet of water at maximum capacity. Over time, gravel has accumulated in the upper portion of the reservoir where the creek flows into the reservoir. The proposed project would remove approximately 5,000 cubic yards of gravel from the upper portions of the reservoir. A bulldozer would be used to push the material into a pile where it would then be loaded into a dump truck. All material removed from the reservoir would be distributed along roads outside of the project site, stockpiled for other farm projects, or otherwise disposed of where it cannot reenter the stream channel. No vegetation would be removed and work would be completed while the stream is dry. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2003-0595-3 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
