Document Description
The project consists of the placement of additional, clean rip-rap on both the right and left groins along the upstream face of the Caples Lake Main Dam. All equipment, including a mini-excavator with a thumb attachment, will be located on the crest of the dam in the northbound lane of State Route 88 using an approved CalTrans Traffic Control Plan. The rip-rap will then be placed onto the upstream face from the crest of the dam. No other materials will be placed with the rip-rap. The El Dorado Irrigation District has prepared a California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) - Lake Alteration Notification. All conditions of the DFG permit will be incorporated into this project accordingly.
