The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) would perform geotechnical trenching and boring to complete design studies for the proposed North Haiwee Dam No. 2 reconstruction. The geotechnical investigation includes excavation of trenches up to 300 feet long, 10 feet deep, and varying width in seven locations near the existing North Haiwee Dam. Various geotechnical borings also would be evaluated.
