Document Description
Mechanically treat excessive fuels from an area less than 4 acres from within Tomales Bay State Park where wildland urban interface concerns exist. Treatment will include thinning of trees to provide crown separation and will target trees less than 12 inches at dbh. Within dense, mature stands the sub-canopy and fire prone shrubs will be thinned or removed while retaining dominant trees. Down and dead fuel accumulations will be cleared. Trees will be limbed below 8 feet in height. Cured, dried grasses will be cut to 3 inches.
