On July 22, 2003, the Modesto City Council adopted resolutions accepting $48,370.89 in grant funding from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Urban and Community Forestry Program (Proposition 12). The grant funding is for the purpose of funding the Trees for Tots Community Tree Planting Program to plant trees along the Dry Creek River Corridor.
