Document Description
The project would construct the second phase of the California State University Sacramento (CSUS) Boating Instruction & Safety Center (BISC) at Lake Natoma, Sacramento County. Construction includes a new 6100 +/- s.f. (5000 +/- s.f. office area + 1100 +/- s.f. exit balcony), two-story Training/ Administration Office Building West, 1800 +/- s.f. Mezzanine for existing large boat storage, veneer siding for all buildings, and 3750 +/- s.f. of alteration work in the existing Training Building East. The project would also provide shoreline site improvements, including concrete bleacher steps, flagpole, sand beach, a walkway, new concrete bollards with lights, concrete boat launching ramp, a dock gangway, and slope protection. The project would remove some landscaped trees next to the shore, replacing them with shade trees and shrubs. The project is needed to complete the BISC improvements at CSUS' existing facility in order to accommodate current usage.
