Document Description
The proposed project, consists of the permanent sale/transfer of up to 7,000 acre-feet of State Water Project (SWP) Table A contract water from the Tulare Lake Basin Water Storage District ("Tulare Lake") to the County of Kings ("County"). The transferred water will be provided by Angiola Water District ("Angiola") and Bowman Farms, Inc. ("Bowman"), which both have SWP Table A contract water from Tulare Lake. The County will own and administer the SWP Table A contract water. The County intends to enter into a contract with Westlands Water District ("Westlands") to help meet existing demand within the Kings County portion of Westlands for the benefits of the Lemoore Naval Air Station ("LNAS") and other agriculture water users in Kings County. The County and Tulare Lake are both existing SWP contractors.
