Document Description
The proposed project consists of the acquisition of a 9.11 acre parcel currently occupied by a structure with retail use. The proposed facility would include all elements necessary for a comprehensive and effecient operation of a bus-transit service operated by Gardena Municipal Bus Lines. As currently envisioned, the proposed project would consists of a 20,000 square-foot administration and operations building; a 41,000 square-foot vehicle maintenance building; and a 7,514 square foot bus wash and fuel island. The proposed facility would provide parking for 105 transit buses, 20 paratransit vehicles and 24 support vehicles, and 154 parking spaces for employees and visitors. In addition, 34% (134,519 square feet) of the total area would be allocated to site circulation, setback, and landscaping requirements.
