Proposal by Ernest Kroener/Silverhorse Winery for a Minor Use Permit to allow for the demolititon of the existing 2,000 square foot winery and construction of a new 6,890 square foot winery. Wine processing activities include crushing, fermenting, pressing, barrel storage, bottling, and blending with and ultimate production of approximately 5,000 cases per year. The proposed project also includes a tasting room and the winery is proposing to hold up to six special events a year with a maximum of 80 persons attending each event. The project will be completed in two phases. Phase one includes a 1,049 square foot tasting room, 256 square feet of office space, 3,639 square feet of fermentation and barrel storage area, and a 448 square foot outdoor crush pad. Phase two of the project will include the addition of approximately 1,856 square feet of additional fermentation and barrel storage area. The project also includes a request to adjust the property line setback from 200 feet to 45 feet. The project is located at 2995 Pleasant Road, approximately .90 mile north of Estrella Road, approximately 6 miles north-east of the City of Paso Robles, in the El Pomar - Estrella planning area.
