Document Description
The Falcon Launch Vehicle Program is a commercial venture by Space Exploration Technologies, Inc. (Space X). Space X is a privately held company that is developing the Falcon Launch vehicle Program as a method to put small space craft into orbit with high reliability and low cost from launch facilities at Vanderberg Air Force Base (AFB). Space X proposes to operate its Falcon Launch Vehicle Program to provide commercial launch services at Space Launch Complex 3 West at Vandenberg AFB. The Falcon Launch vehicle is a light-lift, two-stage vehicle that utilizes only liquid fuels. A maximum of two to three launches from Vandenberg AFB would be conducted per year beginning with on in 2003, one to two in 2004, two to three in 2005, and three per year through 2006, after which continuation of the program would be reevaluated.
