Document Description
The proposed project consists of an amendment to the Transportation Plan of the General Plan. The proposed amendment, as initiated by the Sacramento County Department of Planning and Community Development, Economic Development and the Transportation Department, would amend the General Plan from thoroughfare to arterial for a segment of Florin Road (Power Inn Road to Elk Grove-Florin Road). A thoroughfare is generally described as a 6-lane roadway with a 108' right-of-way. An arterial is described as a 4-lane roadway with an 84' right-of-way. Alternatives will also be considered to downgrade Florin Road from a thoroughfare designation to an urban collector facility on the General Plan.
