Document Description
The San Mateo Union High School District proposes to implement a new facilities and modernization project at the existing 37 acre Burlingame High School in the southeast corner of the City of Burlingame. The project will inlcude the construction of two new structures that will include a Music and Science building and a new Library, followed by the modernization of four current buildings (Multi-Use, Shop, Home Economics, and Gym), plus the addition of a permanent portable. The infrastructure of many current buildings are aged and outdated and in need of replacement and/or rehabilitation. Additional space is needed to provide adequate educational facilities for the current level of student enrollment, which has been projected to remain approximately the same for the foreseeable future.
