Document Description
The City of Concord is preparing a General Plan and Zoning Ordinance Update, and has determined that an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will be necessary. The Genral Plan Update Will serve as a guide for development over the next 20 years, i.e., the period through 2025. It will contain background information, goals, and policies for the following elements: Land Use Element; Growth Management Element; Transportation Element; Public Services Element; Parks, Open Space, and Conservation Element; and Public Health and Safety Element. Concurrent with the General Plan Update, a Zoning Ordinance Update will be prepared to parrallel the General Plan land use distribution and policy framework; it also will include a comprehensive review of use regulations, development standards and review procedures.
