CLWA would acquire up to 16,000 acre-feet (AF) of SWP Table A amount from KCWA through an agreement with BMWD. The proposed project would increase the total CLWA SWP Table A amount from 95,200 AF up to 111,200 AF. The project would also include storage and conveyance of the water using existing SWP facilities, in order to deliver the water to CLWA. CLWA also proposes to process up to five separate annexation proposals from several different parties totaling approximately 3,265 acres. The project is proposes to provide water to serve anticipated water demand from future development approved by local governmental agencies into CLWA's service area. It is expected that the allocation of the 16,000 AF of SWP Table A amount proposed to be acquired through the Project will be addressed in annexation agreements to be executed with landowners proposing to annex lands into CLWA, and in agreements with landowners already owning lands within CLWA's service area, including the Newhall Ranch project.
