Document Description
EVMWD plans to improve and expand its water and wastewater facilities based on recommendations from the Water Distribution System Master Plan and the Wastewater Master Plan. These facilities will allow EVMWD to meet anticipated infrastructure requirements. Proposed improvements to the wastewater system include: collection system upgrades (approximately 250,000 linear feet of pipelines and 18 lift stations), expansion of the existing Regional and Canyon Lake WWTPs, demolition of the existing Horsethief Canyon WWTP, and construction of a new plant at Alberhill for a total of 31.6 additional mgd of wastewater treatment capacity by 2020. Water distribution system improvements identified include: approximately 30,000 acre-feet of additional water supply through a combination of additional imported water and new well capacity; new storage capacity of 70.3 million gallons to meet existing deficiencies, and future operational, emergency, and fire storage demands; and expansion of 6 pump stations, 4 pump station replacements, and 14 new booster stations to provide a total of 42.42 million gallons of additional pumping capacity.
