Addendum to the Chaffrey Comm. College District Facilities Master Plan Rancho Cucamonga Campus

The approved Master Plan includes a series of projects for the campus that involve the development of several new buildings, renovation of existing buildings, modifications to access and circulation, development of new athletic facilities, provision of additional parking, modification and expansion of other campus infrastructure, and renovation of the campus landscaping. All facilities would be developed within the existing campus boundaries. Much of the planned development, reorganization, and modernization of existing facilities proposed in the Master Plan has been completed to date. The Central Plant Buildout - TES Tank Project would occur during buildout of the previously approved third phase of the Central Plant Buildout Plan (plan buildout). Two of the three previously approved chillers were constructed in the Central Plant Facility during the preceding buildout phases. Changes to the third phase of plant buildout would result in the construction of a 700,000-gallon thermal energy storage (TES) tank instead of the previously approved third chiller. The six boilers previously approved under the approved Master Plan would not be modified and would be constructed as previously planned. The new TES tank would supplement the existing chiller capacity. The six new boilers would be installed inside the existing Central Plant Facility (Central Plant), as previously approved, to augment the capacity of the existing heating system to meet future heating demand loads on the campus.
