Document Description
Replace existing failed leachfield for combination building #3 at Madrone Campground in Richardson Grove State Park to protect public health, improve visitor services and ADA accessibility, and support continued use and maintenance of existing restroom and showers. Conduct percolation tests at all proposed locations, in compliance with Humboldt County Environmental Sewage Disposal regulations, then install trenches in up to three approved locations; install a distribution box to facilitate alternating field use. Construction will occur between September 15 - March 15, with any heavy equipment operation restricted to the hours of 10am to 4pm between February 1 and March 15. Ground disturbance will not occur during periods of overland flow, when soils are saturated, or if the chance of rain is greater than 30%. Disturbed areas will be mulched with native materials immediately following completion of earthwork and leachfield area revegetated with shallow-rooted native plants.
