Document Description
Remove 73 invasive coniferous trees (mostly ponderosa pine) and dense thicket of invasive conifers from a four-acre black oak woodland at the entrance to Oak Hollow Campground in Calaveras Big Trees State Park to restore healthy oak stands. A thin layer of chips will be spread over areas with no ground cover, and will be removed over the next few years and replaced by plugs of native grass.
