Document Description
Install an automated stream gauge and a graduated staff gauge on the right bank of Burney Creek, approximately 2,000 feet downstream of Burney Falls in McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park. The staff gauge will be bolted to a boulder in the stream. A small diameter pipe will be buried between the stream and the automatic recording box which will not be located on the rim of the historic ditch wall. The stream guage box will be painted a color to blend in to the surrounding landscape. Project will monitor flow conditions to determine the effects of upstream groundwater extractions by agricultural, residential, and industrial developments.
