Document Description
Construct new security gate at Canyon Road entrance to San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area and widen a (maximum) 160 foot section of roadway by 60 feet for a vehicle-with-trailer turnaround. Large boulders will maintain the perimeter to keep vehicles off vegetation. An island will be constructed inside the gate for a possible future kiosk. A solar panel will be added to power the electronic gate. The existing fences will be extended to meet the new gate. The project will improve public safety by restricting access to the Los Banos Creek Detention Dam after dark.
