Document Description
The Operator proposes to alter the streambed by seismically retrofitting the Dam to meet current Division of Dam Safety requirements. These activities include constructing buttresses against the inside surface of the spillway walls, and constructing external buttresses for the outlet tower. The project also includes construction of a span across the spillway for employee access. The access bridge to the outlet tower will be removed. LACPW and its contractor will implement standard best management practices during the retrofit activities. The contractor will have onsite spill kits, use water to control dust, and all equipment, including drill rigs will be well-maintained and not leaking fluids. The project will temporarily impact the area, but no permanent impacts will occur.
