Document Description
Replace combination flagpole and informational sign at park entrance at Bodie State Historic Park. Work will include removal of current flagpole, sign, and posts; and installation of replacement support posts in new postholes 12" wide x 2"-3" in depth. The current sign will be reused and positioned at the same height; new flagpole will approximate a lean exhibited by the current structure. In the event that previously undocumented cultural resources are encountered during project construction (including, but no limited to dark soil containing shellfish, bone flaked stone, groundstone, or deposits of historic trash), work within the immediate vicinity of the find will stop until a DPR-qualified cultural specialist has evaluated the find and implemented appropriate disposition of artifact(s). This project supports visitor services.
