Document Description
The project is the repair of an existing levee, and reinforcement of the levee an additional 50 feet upstream with toe rock. The toe rock will be reinforced with approximately 50 cubic yards of compacted earthen fill. The project site is located on the bank of Carneros Creek at 1000 Milton Road at the Chardonnay Vineyard, LTD. The bank will be further stabilizaed with a combinationn of trees, shrubs, and grasses. A total area of 1,500 feet will be revegetated with 4-foot by 4-foot density, or about 90 plus plants. Natural cloth weave will be used to stabilize the bank as the plants establish themselves. The plants will be irrigated with a drip system tied into the adjacent vineyard irrigation network. The plant health will be monitored by the vineyard management crew. A backhoe parked on the levee will place the rock and compact the fill on top. No equipment will enter the water. Material will be delivered direectly into the vineyard avenues. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2003-0247-3 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
