Document Description
Remove 10-acres of non-native Helichrysum petiolare at Mount Tamalpais State Park to improve conditions for native species. Plants will be cut in the fall, using chain saws and broadcast burned the following spring, summer, and fall depending on fuel moisture. New plants and seedlings not removed by fire and outlying plants in the immediate vicinity, both individual and small patchers, will be treated with herbicide, Garlon 4 , Chopper or Roundup. This project protects natural resources and supports continued maintenance.
