Document Description
The PIER Food Industry Energy Research (FIER) program is funding proposals encouraging energy efficiency, cost savings, reliability & environmental stewardship in the CA food processing industry. This project will use two types of laboratory infrared dryers to conduct experiments on the infrared drying of rice. This work will establish optimum operating parameters and effectiveness of infrared treatment on disinfestations & reducing microbial counts.
