Document Description
The PIER Food Industry Energy Research (FIER) program is funding proposals encouraging energry efficiency, cost savings, reliability and environmental stewardship in the CA food processing industry. Del Monte Foods & LBNL propose to develop a method for optimization and improving the system energy efficiency by using waste heat to provide process cooling (absorption cooling) for cooker/coolers commonly used in fruite & vegetable processing plants.
