Document Description
A storm drain inlet along Oak Park Boulevard, adjacent to the pond, became clogged with tree roots that trapped debris during a storm in early 2003. The drain became overwhelmed and storm water flowed over the sidewalk, undercutting the sidewalk and cutting a large gully into the road shoulder beside the pond. The proposed project would fill the existing gully with approximately 30 cubic yards of locally obtained material and cover the site with loose-weave jute netting to stabilize the soil surface, then revegetated the site with locally obtained grass seeds. The project is necessary to stabilize the bank of the pond.
