Document Description
Annual maintenance on the intake area of the dam. The valve at the base of the dam will be opened to allow the water to flow down Miliken Creek and dewater the area that is to be cleaned. A primary and secondary silt dam consisting of hay bales and filter fabric will be built within approximately 300-feet downstream of the dam. A pump and hose will be used to wash the silt and debris from the diversion area and release it in the water column downstream to the silt dam. Upon completion of maintenance, the silt dam is located on the top of a natural waterfall and fish barrier that is approximately 50-feet high from the water's surface. Miliken Creek does contain a population of steelhead, but due to downstream barriers, does not contain large numbers.
