In accordance with the Community Development Management Plan (CDMP), the Army proposes to convey Fort Irwin's inventory of 2,028 family housing units and some ancillary facilities to California Military Communities to lease to California Military Communities for 50 years the land on which the housing units and ancillary facilities sit. The total acreage to be leased would be approximately 872 acres. Implementing the CDMP would include increasing the overall housing inventory by 570 units.
