Document Description
This proposed project involves the following elements: construct retaining walls and sounds walls, replace the existing Airport Boulevard over crossing with a new bridge, construct a new north bound off-ramp to Airport Boulevard over Mark West Creek including installation of abutments, widen the existing south bound on-ramp to Highway 1010 over Mark West Creek including installation of bents and abutments, install falserwork for bridge construction, extend and replace existing culverts, install new culverts, excavate storm water runoff detention areas, relocate underground utilities, Temporary Creek Diversion System, remove existing Sacked Concrete Slope Protection (SCSP) and install new SCSP, install large woody debris for bank protection, construct new bents and abutments, construct new drainage channel, install signs, fences, and guard rails. The Project will result in impacts to 23.64 acres of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) habitat including temporary impacts to 12.44 acres; the Project will permanently remove 11.20 acres of California tiger salamander habitat. The Project will result in impacts to .86 acres of Central California coho salmon (Oncornhynchus kisutch) habitat including temporary impacts to .148 acres; the Project will permanently remove .71 acres of Central California coho salmon habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of California tiger salamander and Central California coho salmon, which are designated as threatened and endangered species, respectively, under the California Endangered Species Act.
