Document Description
The 2003 Specific Plan's goal is to provide a mix of land uses in East San Carlos (Project Area) that strengthens and preserves existing residential neighborhood balances economic base and mixture of uses, expands shopping and employment opportunities and increases net fiscal benefits to the City. Implementation of the proposed project could result in the addition of approximately 1.7 million square feet of commercial and industrial land uses, 140 hotel rooms and 160 dwelling units over a period of ten to twenty years to the eastern portion of San Carlos. In addition, the proposed project would add new policies and guidelines that would incorporate traffic mitigation measures, improve visual quality, increase, and improve pedestrian movement through the Project Area, as well as between east and west San Carlos.
