Document Description
Proposal to implement a Habitat Restoration Grant from the California Department of Fish and Game, by realigning and restoring a portion of Quesaria Creek to improve fish passage and habitat. Project includes 1,900 cubic yards of grading, replacement of an existing 30-inch culvert with a 12-foot wide bottomless arch structure beneath Swanton Road, replacement of a 24-inch culvert across ranch-access road with a bridge, the removal of a 30-inch culvert upstream of Swanton Road, the installation of 9 grade-control structures, and the removal of 26 non-native Eucalyptus trees, to be replaced with a variety of native riparian and upland species. Requires a Grading Permit, a Riparian Exception, a Coastal Development Permit, a Significant Tree Removal Permit, Archaeological Review, and Environmental Assessment. Located adjacent to Swanton Road approximately 1.1 miles from its southern intersection Highway 1.
