Document Description
The subject property comprising about 6.2 acres of usable land for the park was created as a remainder area with the realignment of Alamo Pintado Road. The County of Santa Barbara purchased the property in 1984 to accomplish the road realignment. The resulting parcel has been known as the Alamo Pintado triangle. The property was deeded by the County of Santa Barbara to the City of Solvang with a deed restriction that the former right of way be used for a public park. The City proposes to change it's Sphere of Influence Line to annex the property and pre-zone it with a Recreation zoning designation. The City proposes to adopt a Conceptual Master Plan for the property concurrent with the annexation and Pre-Zoning.
