The proposed project involves the adoption of a new chapter to the City of Ventura Municipal code (Chapter 24,330) that establishes an Urban Infill ("UI") Overlay Zone. The purpose of the new chapter is to provide incentives such as flexible development standards and streamlined permit processing that address barriers to "infill" development on properties currently zoned for residential, commercial or industrial use within portions of the City's Downtown, Midtown, Westside, and Pierpont neighborhoods.
