Document Description
The entire proposed Ponderosa School development site consists of 15.1 acres. Of this total, 7.80 acres will be dedicated to the reconfigured park, 3.91 acres will be joint-use, and 3.41 acres will be dedicated to the new school campus. The Master Plan calls for new campus buildings to be located in the southeasterly portion of the expanded park. The campus will be arranged in a "L"-shaped structure with the school's main parking area located to the south of the campus, adjacent to Wilken Way. A second parking area for use by the park and community center will be located to the north of the campus, adjacent to Orangewood Avenue. This latter parking area may also be used as overflow parking for the school. These new campus buildings will have a total floor area of up to 113,000 square feet and house 48 teaching stations. The proposed community library will have a total floor area of up to 17,000 square feet.
