Document Description
Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to upgrade 1.85 kilometers (1.1 miles) of State Route 198 from expressway to freeway. The project would include the conversion of at-grade access at State Route 198/19th Avenue to partial (half) cloverleaf interchange including an overcrossing for 19th Avenue with on- and off- ramps in each direction and auxillary lanes. At-grade access at 18.5 Avenue/Vine Street would be closed and replaced with cul-de-sacs for turnarounds. Iona Street would be modified for right-of-way access at 19th Avenue.
